Ha ha! This was a sketch my friend did during a very boring meeting we were in. I thought it was halarious because we always joke around with food. This piece is for a project I am working on called "Projected Nexus"...I have been tasked to help visualize various aspects of the story. At the moment I am focusing on character design. The description calls for characters that are strong enough to handle the weapon known as the "235-LOUD". At the moment this is the only piece that I am permitted to show. This was a concept from a project from long ago. I pulled out a bunch of old sketches and found one that had a cool shapes to me so I decided to flesh it out. Obviously it's about ninjas and robots which is 2 of my favorite things. Decided to spend a little time on design language with the patterns and colors as well as the designs of the characters overall. I was asked to illustrate the USS Lake Erie performing a test fire. Painted it all in Photoshop CS. The destroyer in the back would typically be further away from a test fire but I added it for visual interest anyway. I would love any suggestions you can give me on how to execute this better.

This is a piece I did for a charity auction. Derrick Thomas was one of the most explosive linebacker in his day. Unfortunately he passed away due to an automobile accident in 2000. But still many fan still remember him for his on and off the field contributions. Hope you Derrick Thomas fans enjoy this.

I know most of you aren't in to football here but I still wanted to share these pieces with you.! I get the football gitters this time of year.

This was a commissioned piece. Naturally I hate the chargers considering I'm a chiefs fan but the client loved it so it balanced out .

I usually do these types of peices traditionally but I decided to try a digital approach this year and sell prints. It's been working out really well. Hope you LT fans enjoy it.

How I did it:

Illustration I did for Lamar Hunt from the Kansas City Chiefs. He passed away last year. Lamar was a big influence in sports. He was the owner of the KC Chiefs and helped coined the lable "Super Bowl" from the old AFL league. He will be missed. Done in Painter with the charcol brush. Hi all! This is a piece I just finished for the Math and Science festival that takes place annually here in the states. It's a 3 day event where kids would submit their science projects in a regional compitetion. Many companies support this event to try to get kids to stay interested in Math and Science at a young age. They typically have a marketing campaign and they chose this piece to be on all their marketing vehicles.

This was a challenging piece because it was driven by committee and there was very little time to do it. So I had to make time for the changes that kept coming in.

This was a piece I did a while back. I have always liked it for some reason. Went really loose on this one. I had this idea that this King ruled the lands with just a secret 3 man army. They were statues that came to life when needed. I always wanted to revisit this theme and add to it but I guess I just like the mood. This is a pretty old piece. It's my take on Anikan's transformation to Vader. Found this fake script online years ago about how Vader's tranformation was a longer process because he needed to heal and train in the dark arts. I imagined his armor coming together over time. Didn't really like what Lucas did with the movies. Left me empty inside so I pull stuff out like this to make myself feel better. I am finally starting to get public release for some of the artwork I do for the company I work for. This was a concept that was done about 2 years ago. I used multiple photgraphs to build the background and used a base model (no texture or light) for the weapon. I painted in all the light sources and particles.
